Friendship Day

August 4

Friendship Day History

Friendship Day is a day to pay tribute to our friends. The mind behind the holiday is Joyce Hall’s, the founder of Hallmark. Since it was seen as a sales tactic, it didn’t become very popular in the U.S. It did see more popularity in other regions, such as South Asia. Nevertheless, the day was established by the U.S. Congress in 1835.
